Dear Parents and Students,

I hope you have all had a wonderful winter break and that everyone is settling into the new term smoothly!

As many of you know, I have been pursuing my studies in primary education with the goal of becoming a classroom teacher. I am thrilled to share that I have secured my first teaching position and am now teaching a lovely Year 2 class. I am deeply grateful to all the families who have supported me along this journey, whether through your flexibility with scheduling or the trust you have placed in me as an educator. Your support has meant so much to me.

Looking ahead to future tutoring, I will be evaluating my workload over the coming term to determine the best way to balance my commitments and progression. I need to make an informed and reflective decision surrounding what is in the best educational interests of both my tutoring students and my school students. I will keep you updated as any decisions are made.

To help manage my new responsibilities effectively, there are a few immediate changes to note:

  • I am now fully booked, with no flexibility to adjust timings or reschedule lessons. Any lessons that need to be rescheduled will unfortunately be treated as cancellations.
  • In line with policy, the cancellation period is five days, with one free cancellation per child per term. Rescheduling is “subject to my availability,” which is extremely limited and, in most cases, unavailable.
  • My availability to respond to messages has been reduced. I will aim to check WhatsApp on Sundays and will be available briefly before lessons for any urgent technical issues. For general inquiries, email is the most reliable way to reach me at george@georgehalltuition.com.
  • Formal marking will now be completed within ten working days. For subjects with multiple submissions, such as GCSE English Literature, I may provide detailed feedback on one essay and general or voice note feedback for the others.
  • All work must be submitted via the LMS. I will no longer be able to make time to locate or mark work submitted through other platforms such as Google Docs or email.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as I navigate these changes. Once again, I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received from each of you. It has been a privilege to work with your children, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on their education.

Best,
